During lockdown, many of the beauty companies have been putting on virtual workshops for their beauty therapists and I’ve been fortunate to attend a few. Learning is my Prada.
It’s reminded me of how some beauty products – particularly skincare – stand out head and shoulders above the rest. That’s why I’m introducing Best In Beauty. To share with you the stars that I know are first-rate. There are lots of new gems, but also many that have stood the test of time which makes them true icons.
For me, Environ EssentiaA Derma-Lac Lotion and A, C & E Body Oil are standouts when it comes to skincare for the body. I’d spoken about them a little bit when discussing skincare with people recently. Then, just as I came into an Environ virtual workshop they were talking about them too.
That was serendipitous – a knowledge refresh!

Environ Body EssentiA Alpha-Hydroxy Derma-Lac Lotion
It’s a mouthful, isn’t it? And it packs just as much of a punch in what it delivers. Derma-Lac Lotion has an exfoliating, moisturising action orchestrated by using ingredients like lactic acid (exfoliant) and glycerin (moisturiser). Together they work to slough off dry, scaly skin and soften rough areas like your elbows and heels, but they do it gently.

Environ Body EssentiA Vitamin A, C & E Body Oil
When it comes to vitamins and effective choices for topical application to the skin I would always recommend vitamins A, C and E so to find them all in this little bottle is a wonderful thing. With oils like jojoba and sunflower seed in the mix, it’s so skin-nourishing using it is like serving your skin a vitamin-rich smoothie to drink.
Are you getting a clear picture of how Derma-Lac Lotion and Vitamin A, C & E Body Oil work together? Alone they’re great, but by using them together you achieve a gentle sloughing off of dry and/or mature skin cells with the benefits of nutrient-rich vitamins and gold standard moisturisers followed up with an extra dose of nourishing, smoothing hydration.

Heads up: you can take this treatment one step further by using the Environ Cosmetic Body Roll-CIT. It works on the principle of micro-needling which you may have heard of as an in-clinic treatment.

If you used all of these treatments for a period of time you could quite literally transform your skin. It does take commitment and it does take time but it does work.
